The organization, a CDFI, has been an SBA partner since 2004 and has distributed more than $177 million in loan capital through more than 6,200 loans, helping to create or retain more than an estimated 43,500 jobs. ECDI is host to the four Women’s Business Centers (WBCs) of Ohio and has developed innovative incubation and TA programs including the Minority Contractor Resource Center and the Food Fort incubation/acceleration program for food-and-beverage businesses. Between these programs and lending services, ECDI has provided technical assistance and/or capital access to more than 33,000 individuals, serving underbanked and underrepresented entrepreneurs and communities throughout all of Ohio and some counties in Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
